These chairs, same room?

Can you see these two chairs working together in an eclectic living room? I could post my living room again if I need to.
The one with the straight edge is on order and should be here hopefully next month and I'd love to have the rocking chair in black.

    Love them both—just not together.

Really love the pink chair design!!!

I think they would fight if they were in the same room.

Good advice from others. Great individually.

Yes, what I have been thinking and I would order the rocker in black if I find a place for it. It's actually red here though, not pink.

It makes me a little sad that the answer is no but I also agree although I was hoping somebody would point me in the other direction LOL

Well, I’ll be the lone dissenter, but I think the ship has already sailed. :D

I think they could work in your room. You have such a wonderful eclectic style, and excellent taste ... I really think you could pull it off. It definitely wouldn’t work in just any home.

Using both of them, why not? If that's not eclectic then I don't know what is. You can try them side by side with something between them, or in different parts of the room. Go for it!

I think with your living room (I remember it), only one eclectic chair. I love the pink/red one, although I am not a fan of rockers. One thing though is I wonder if either are comfortable. Anyhoo, I'm still coveting that floral chair of yours!!

I like the straight edge one. The rocking chair reminds me of a bustier. Sorry.

I ordered the straight edge one back in January hopefully it'll be here next month

I agree with Bbstx - I would not put them in the same room together. They have similar elements (the wicker style part) that is similar enough to force a comparison, and yet their styles are extremely different. If they had nothing in common, they might work together better.

I completely agree the two styles don't go together I think I'm having itchy chair fingers because of the delay in my first order

These aren’t really like your chairs at all, but for some reason reminded me of the ”feel”. I guess because I love mixing the casualness of wicker with other, ‘unrelated‘ decor.

This is one of my favorite Instagram eye-candy accounts.

Just sharing for fun and the love of wicker. :)

    Beautiful Jinx!

The black straight top chair will go in the far corner. It was chosen because I love it ( I looked at it for over a year), but it's also lightweight enough to easily move around as that's where the Christmas tree goes.

I would like an interesting chair at the table to replace the one covered by the sheepskin rug.

Does the rocker come in natural (unpainted)? I think it’d be awesome in the spot you’re talking about. Red would, too.

Yes, it comes in many different colors. Originally I wanted and still like better, the Penobscot chair but it is not tall enough.

Goodness, I forgot about that beautiful table. Disregard my natural or red post up there. I agree with you that black or dark brown (whatever chair you decide) would look best.

    I so love your house!

I like that Penobscot one a lot!

Does the back have to be high? I just came across this one ... only showing it for the height example with a similar size table, not for the style of chair:

Yeah the height is important for it to be seen from the front of the sofa and it must be at least 40 in or more in height.

Ok, I found a tall one:

    I‘m kidding. 😁

Can’t wait to see what you get; you find such unique things!

I am going to continue to beat my drum that more wicker/willow/rattan in the room will take away from the beauty of the almost-wing chair. Because you are using the table as a sofa table, is it necessary to have a chair there?

Bb, I won't do anything until the new chair is here and I'm still about 90% that one wicker chair is enough.

I don't need a chair there at all but I do like my sheepskin throw there, I like seeing the texture.

Also the chair that is under the sheepskin is one that I pull out for my dining room table when I need an extra chair and don't want to haul out the matching ones from the basement

Oh and Tina I don't care if they're uncomfortable, I'm going to look at them 99% more than anybody's ever going to sit in them!

I have a rattan chair in our rental that I LOVE. It isn’t that comfortable but it’s obviously there as an extra chair. It takes up zero visual space and like your chairs, Bumble, it’s just something pretty to look at like art.

Similar to k’s chair, I have always liked this one. I sort of think the curvy lines of the two chairs you posted would fight with each other. If I were to add a second wicker type chair. I think straighter lines might work better?

Maybe a Parsons type chair would work at the table?

Thanks Sue! I have a parsons chair there now and will only replace with another chair if the chair excites me.
