No sorry its not. It was from sanding. the contrast on the pic was adjusted to see the hazy area.

Cookie sheets aren't usually hot enough to damage engineered stone; they cool too quickly. It takes sustained heat to damage stone, estone, and solid surface. Plus, that damage is very consistent; heat damage isn't.

Someone tried to abrade away a scratch without knowing what they were doing. That top could probably be saved with a Quartz Renew kit and an experienced tech.
