If it was me, I would keep the cabinets and counters but replace the floors, back splashes sink and appliances. I like the granite and the wood, but feel the white sink is really out of place and the floors look dirty.

Instead if grey in the quartz, I’d try to compliment flooring and suggest a slightly browner veining.

Agree with above. is It possible to install a new sink with the granite in place?

Color choices for cabinets and counters don't occur in a vacuum so your warm tone flooring should be taken into account when choosing white tones for those other components-you'll likely need to choose a warmer white. I don't think gray will work with your beige/tan floor tiles, but hopefully some pros will weigh in with some options. Likewise, search for queries about using the thickness of quartz (~1.25") as a backsplash and it's lack of heat resistance to see if it's appropriate for your application.

I would get rid of the white sink & faucet, replace the backsplash, find a better (larger/interesting ceiling light fixture and replace the oversized fridge with a counter depth one., maybe add new hardware. I think the rest is fine.

Have to agree with Maureen. Assuming you’re keeping the tile floors, the cabinets might better be painted cream or, at the least, a very warm white, and the countertops and backsplash a creamy white with some brown veining. IMO, white an gray fight the floor.

Thank you all for your input.... the lighting was going to be change out,also... maybe I was just tired of the “oak” cabinets, with the Baltic brown granite Countertops.. ,looking for a newer modern look. With waterfall off the near end.. and white, brighter look.. but . The budget right now really would not include the new flooring.. but. Maybe holding out till next year.. just gut the kitchen, new cabinets, appliances countertop backsplash lighting flooring... which the wife and I did 20 years ago..haha. Looks like might have to do that again... always will take more input.... thank you all !

Yes to waiting unless...you want to keep in the warm tones to coordinate with the floor.

A Taj Mahal quartz might work with those floors. There are other creamy quartz options.

does your Baltic Brown top have green in it like my sample? if so what about Eucalyptus painted cabinets and keeping the top. Add hardware- stainless, black or oil rub bronze will all go with that top. Brushed bronze looks very elegant with the Eucalyptus.

Kevin, I actually really like that combination. The right subway tile, paint and hardware could tie it all together quite nicely. The grey even helps connect the stainless appliances.

Since you mentioned a waterfall counter, do an image search. Often kitchens incorporating a waterfall counter will be stark, minimalistic and very modern using the waterfall to highlight a stunning, book matched natural stone.

Well it looks like The consensus is a no go on the quartz.. and a no go ,on the granite. . Thanks again for everyone input.. seems like we should hold off till the end of the year to accomplish our "new look".. our $7k budget going to jump up to $22k mark.with new cabs and countertops that we do like,, sinks, Faucets, appliances, lighting, and flooring . But from what everyone saying we will Not accomplish our new look the way we are Currently going at it

So thx again to everyone.. this story/ project. Will Continue...
