Nothing beats down. And you won't like the price of a good one, as feathers are not down. Polyester is not down . Nothing breathes like down ......nothing will fluff like it either. A good one, lasts a lifetime. One THIRD of your life is spent in a bed.

My best choice for a comfortor was Ikea they had one that came in 2 parts so you could use each separately or if really cold snap them together. They were down not feathers and not cheap . but have had them for a long time and always get the oft back when I wash them. The other alternative is silk.

I have to say I have been using coverlets more often than comfotors in the last couple of years . I like the more finished looking bed when it is made and my guests love them.I just add a nice throw at the foot of the bed if it is chilly. I think ethical is really not something I can get my head around for really anything killed to either feed us or clothe us , something has to die .BTW $160 is not going to get you what you want.

Cuddledown has dual temperature, every loft you can think of. The point is.......if you spent a whopping grand on this item? It's a DOLLAR per night over a mere three years. Over ten years? Do the math. : ) Think of that when you get the Dunkin, or down a bottled water.

Thank you for being empathetic to the intense suffering geese and ducks go through on these "farms". They are cruelly de-feathered, and then killed. No one needs to be part of this when there are great down-alternative comforters out there.
