Hi all,

I'm neck deep (still? again?) in preparing for my kitchen renovation. We've finally decided against IKEA, because our kitchen's dimensions result in a lot of wasted space with IKEA's sizing, there seems to be a perpetual backlog on most if not all cabinet components right now, and finally I have decided on a custom color for my cabinets. No white kitchens for me, thank you. You can see my design board below: the cabinets will be Blue Peacock (SW) and the walls in my house are all Repose Grey (SW). The fabric swatch is my plan for the backs of my dining chairs and for the stools that will be at the peninsula. As a note, the color of my cabinets, my backsplash and my hardware are *not* up for debate.

That said, I'm a little bit stuck on flooring because the kitchen butts up to the dining room where there are 2 1/4" red oak floors. We want to go with a LVT or LVP because we have VERY large dogs and their nails have already wreaked havoc on the wood that's here. We're not looking to replace the wood right now because we eventually plan to open up the wall between living and dining and will have to tackle that then (five year plan!).

For countertops, I'm thinking either Cambria's new Ivybridge, if it is not too cream-colored (see second design board) or something more subtle if it turns out to be, like Silestone Eternal Classic Calacatta.

Anybody have any suggestions for quality LVT/LVP for this palette that won't look weird next to real wood?
