well since they aren't going to be on top of each other when installed I would place in relation to where they will be in kitchen in different lighting etc

Is the range hood a slanted surface instead of vertical like the cabinets? Does it go right up against the cabinets? Do you have any other whites or creams in the room like your floor or countertops? All those things matter.

It needs to be more contrasting or it looks like a mistake. Frankly, I would make life so much easier and get a stainless steel hood. Sometimes a Great Wall of Cabinets is too much, and the stainless steel would provide welcome relief and gleam. You didn’t say how wide your wood hood will be, but they usually don’t look good when they’re 30” wide; a wood cabinet hood surround needs to be 36” or more to look proportional not puny. A stainless steel hood won’t have that issue.

Also a stainless steel hood is much easier to wipe and clean. And you also don’t have to buy the liner and motor separately. Also, wood hoods tend not to be deep enough front to back, and don’t cover the front burners. So you’ve spent all that money and your front burners aren’t even exhausted properly.

can you order it unpainted? if not, see if a local carpenter or kitchen cabinet expert and make you the same one and have your guys paint it.

I think Hoodsly sells them primed only. You should do that and paint it with the BM color.

They do sell primed to paint - looks like the better option! I thought I’d save that step if it was close enough, but seems like it’s worth the extra bit of effort!
