Get rid of the things on top of the cupboards. Here is a visual with Repose Grey. I don't think I like it with your countertops because it comes off too blue and cold and your countertops look a bit warmer

Are you looking for something lighter? Take a look at SW 7627 White Heron. SW 7035 Aesthetic White is very pretty too. Both soften Naval. If you want better direction, please let me know, why you are having doubts about Repose Gray.

Thank you both for the suggestions! Yes, those things above the cabinets are getting pitched - I just haven’t gotten them down, ha! I’m adding additional photos to show how the living room looks into the kitchen. That is only the primer on the wall but I’m concerned the repose grey will end up looking muddy. Also, I think I only can use one paint color throughout the downstairs as it all flows together. (One photo is current, the others are from another house but same tract home floor plan)
