Does the moisturizer also have self tanner? usually that would turn things orange, but I'm coming up blank.

The moisturizer has no fake tan but it is tinted. It is on the bathmat too as you can see in the pic, which gets used to mop the floor after showering.

I read about the P20 too, but I looked up the product, which is Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I do not see any mention of this compound in the ingredients.

That is so weird Lisa. I'm looking at the cord to what appears to be your electric toothbrush and it's a pretty shade of pink! A rather even pink 'paint' job too. I have no idea what this could be. I did read through the link kayozzy posted above. I wonder if P20 goes by other names and it's in your tinted moisturizer. But thinking about it, would you really have touched each millimeter of your electric toothbrush cord with LM tinted moisturizer on your hands? I would think probably not. This sounds a little different (?) from what the airbnb hosts are dealing with, perhaps?

I know! It is weird. No I have not been rubbing my tinted moisturizer on the electric toothbrush. I have not been putting it on the soles of my feet either : ). I barely touch the cord except to occasionally wipe it down, which makes me think it could be a cleaning product. No more expensive towels for me until I find this culprit. I will definitely post it if I find out what it is. I don't think it's P20, because it never appeared initially as yellow as described by Airbnb. It's been pink only.

Pink colored mold can be caused by a bacterium called “Serratia Marcescens” or by Aureobasidium and Fusarium mold. It may not be as toxic as black mold, but pink mold has been linked to urinary tract infections, wound infections and gastrointestinal distress.

If it is mold, would it have an odor? No, not using any Method products.

I don't want you worry about mold. I don't think what you have is mold. We get that pink mold in the shower that kclubers mentions from time to time. The area has to be very moist for a long time for it to appear. It scrubs away easy enough and we haven't detected an odor to it. It has never shown up on light switches, rugs, towels or electrical cords. Those things are not covered in water for a long time, unless it's a wet towel stuck in a hamper for weeks.

My towels only ever go straight from the bathroom to washing machine. I don't leave them lying around wet. They are hung up immediately.
