'Easiest' way to install baffle vents?

BLUF: I'm hoping to find an easier way to install baffle vents then putting a board across the rafters in my attic and crawling into tight spaces.

I'm planning to reinsulate my 1970s home (south of Atlanta, GA), with blown in fiberglass and radiant barrier, and one thing it definitely needs is baffle vents and a lot of them since the roof joists are on 16in centers. But my house has a fairly shallow pitch and getting deep enough in to ensure the baffle meets the exterior wall looks like it will be a serious challenge. Is there an easier way than crawling in and individually stapling the baffles in place? I've seen videos of guys removing part of the soffit and inserting the baffles from outside but don't know any of the pros or cons of this method.

Any advice is appreciated.
