and then consider repotting ...

it was stressed from shipping from grower to seller to you ..

and then you heaped on a big helping of more stress by ripping it from the pot and repotting it ...

it looks sodden.. is there a drain hole in that pot ...

perhaps you could have used a better media for this type of plant ... this media looks rather peaty ... which means it will stay wetter.. longer ...

oh.... and never put a recent transplant in direct sun .. until you re sure the roots have started working again ... in other words .. dont add another level of stress ... again.. give it a month or two ...

and btw ... all houseplants go outside into bright shade ... not into sun ... until properly hardened off to more intense light ...

You could re-pot in a fast draining mix designed for cactus and succulents, but I’m not sure this plant can be saved. Succulents require special care which includes bright light and a fast draining potting mix. Double potting isn’t helpful either.

If you want to grow succulents, read other posts here to educate yourself and then try again with a new plant. Or regular houseplants might be a better bet for you.

Agree with socks - it ay not be salvageable. Last photo show trunk very dark, probably rotting. Soils looks too wet in the photos. It is best to mix in lots of perlite; 50:50 mix is used often. It is very good idea to repot new plant, but if existing soil is too dry, it should be moistened. More often it is sopping wet, and that is not good. Reason for rotting is most often too wet for too long. Watering it more is sure way of killing the plant.

Ok thank you for the feedback! I used cacti and succulent mix. Also, why are it’s leaves so droopy?

Whenever I buy a new cacti or succulent I immediately repot it. I remove all of the old peat based growing medium and pot up into a slightly larger terra cotta pot (drainage hole and no saucer).

I use C&S mix but add pumice (you could also use perlite) so that its about half & half. I’ve yet to see any commercially prepared C&S mix that has sufficient pumice/perlite to make them appropriate for growing cacti or succulents.

After repotting I put in an area with bright indirect sunlight and don’t water for 7-10 days to allow any broken or damaged roots a chance to heal.

I think the leaves are droopy due to what Rina stated above. The trunk is rotting and the plant is dying.
