Waht are your floors next to the deck? I like indoor flooring used for the deck in the same color I like the look of a flow from inside to outside .

With Trex, I found that their dark browns and light greys are their most realistic looking colors. So Coastal bluff might be the best color choice for your house. However, I'd advise against choosing from a small sample. one of the issues with Trex is that some of their texture patterns are really repetitive, a dead giveaway. can the installer bring a full box to lay out? not just one board, but a bunch of boards laid out so you can see the overall effect.

If your installer won't let you preview a large amount, ask if there are any large displays in your area. some hardware stores build mini display patios out of different materials.

I'm not against Trex-- I'm looking into getting a light grey for my backyard deck, where low maintenance overrules prefect looks. If you're worried about it looking more like real wood, consider Timber Tech's more premium lines. it's way more convincing (but more expensive unfortunately).

This is an older post but the Trex color Clamshell is a solid medium to dark grey, not at all like the #1 sample listed as Clamshell.

what did you end up choosing? Do you like it? My house is the same color and I'm in the process of figuring out what color I want to go with.
