Remembering Grace-I think it was first in line last year too.

Isn't it funny that you pretty much know the first one to bloom. The second one to put up a scape here is Firecracjer Parade. So far it has small fans and I don't know that it will do a lot, but this is its creep year.

I checked Dumortieri, it has a bunch of scapes, some up quite a bit. Surprising how very fast daylily scapes shoot up. I probably won't see more scapes til it actually blooms.

I probably won't either, Nancy. I have noticed that once Fernstone begins blooming, a lot of plants seem to shoot up scapes all about the same time.

I have Fern Stone too and been wracking my brain trying to remember wher I moved it last fall. At least I should not have to wait too long, LOL!

We had some daylilies that look like your first picture, but, thankfully, they have grown out of it too. The weatherman is prediction 28 at night later this week so round 2 of the frost is upon us.

Your spring blooms are lovely. I love the iris photos. We just bought a new clematis--jackmannii. I love the daffodil. We planted quite a few bulbs last fall and enjoyed them immensely this year.

I haven't checked dumortieri yet. It was one of the latest ones to pop up and is still on the small side.

Beautiful pics (except of course the frost bitten one) but your garden looks great.

Weather here in WV has been great but there seems to be a system coming that might bring some frost. Hope not. Most of the plants I potted from the garden in NYS are okay except 2. I'm not sure they will make it but will wait and see. I really wish I had gotten more of the plants. Waiting here till May before I start planning out the new beds.

Thank you, Julia. We are dreading frost tonight, but not a hard freeze. Quite a few stated do have a freeze in store though. Once again we have "strong storms" warned for Saturday. One thing about weather, it is always changing. Rain is in the forecast but has missed us the last two times so hopefully, we will get rain along with the weather.

I can imagine you will be remembering certain plants especially that y0u wish were there, but you will get to design another garden that suits you.

Julia, I hope your plants all make it, but like Kay, if I have what you are wanting, let me know. Happy to share! We got down to 35 last night, a friend 20 minutes ago got enough snow to coat her deck. No snow or frost here. They are predicting hard freeze here tonight, with low of only 34. Keeping my fingers crossed weatherman is just over cautious. I have to leave early thru the weekend to be with my son after his gall bladder surgery so won't cover anything. More concerned with my iris and peonies that are in full bud. Looks like it might be a really good bloom year if freeze does not take them out. Dumortieri buds are showing color so should bloom while I am gone, but frost will likely take those out.

So many pretty flowers blooming! Here's what I got when I got up today: redbud trees filled with snow.

I also have a ton of bluebells blooming.

Snow sure looks pretty on the redbud! My redbud did not come back this spring, sadly. Had it about 26 years...

Beautiful blooms, Kay! Nancy - sorry to hear about your redbud, that's too bad. 19 degrees here in SE Michigan this morning. Hope it's the last of the extreme cold for the season, it sure should be!

Brad: Redbuds are so pretty in bloom. My sister who lives across the street from our former home in NYS called me yesterday to say they got snow too and not just a little.
