Garbage disposal detached?

Are used the garbage disposal this morning and it detached. What do I need to do to fix this? It looks like it’s pretty simple and just needs to be reattached?

Looks like the snap ring popped off the sink flange.

@Stax - I had the same exact thing happen a few months ago.

I was like, “WTF????!!!!”

Nothing was broken - my SO said that the vibration from using it just SLOWLY turned it until it finally fell off. Maybe the person who originally installed it MANY years ago didn’t quite tighten everything the way he should have? My SO just hooked it back on, and tightend the connections - took about 5 minutes.

You could always put some blue Loktite on there, so it won't work itself free again, although that shouldn't happen when properly tightened.

Just don't use red Loktite. That one is permanent.
