Could I get some advice on how to care for my lawn with emphasis on weed control?

Location: Toronto Ontario, Canada,

In previous years I’ve battled with quack grass and have always lost, therefore Sept/Oct of last year I sprayed two applications of a heavy batch of Round Up Pro Concentrate and believe I’ve killed most if not all the quack grass.

Two weeks ago, I used the Sun Joe dethatched, after two different passed and managed to remove 75% of the top layer of quack grass. When the rain stops and soil is dry, I will make another pass with the scarifier attachment, in an attempt to remove the remaining dead quack grass. This will unfortunately leave large areas of soil over several areas of grass.

I’m asking for advice on my next several procedures as I would like to apply either tenacity, or Quinclorac for weed control, (that’s what I presently have). I do have the Surfactant and turf marker dye, since this will be my first attempt using these products with the aid of a new backpack spreader.

I will also need to apply lots of grass seed which I haven’t purchased yet therefore, I’m keeping an eye out for a 25kg package of Scotts.
