It's current. It's practical and you can install it to look traditional, transitional and contemporary. Porcelain is durable and look rich because of how it absorbs dye.

Are you asking whether to use it, how to install it, what brand to buy, etc? Happy to help if you can be a bit more specific. I can tell you that I sell several lines of these products and I do like the look and the performance. The one bit of advise I would say is that just like wood or laminate floors, you get what you pay for. Their are some manufacturers out there that have done a great job of emulating wood floors and then there are those that I wouldn't install under my washing machine. So please chose wisely.
