I haven't used those in ages - I also used to take them traveling. I don't see them as any more ecological then big jugs of liquid..

Um...each of those Amazon listings has thousands of reviews...just sayin’....

Well the big jugs end up in a landfill around here. The cardboard package these come in are supposed to be biodegradable.

I saw the reviews, but those are suspect to me. They aren’t known laundry gurus like some of the folks in here!

@Annette Holbrook(z7a), I was given a sample of another brand (not featured in that picture) and was less than impressed. Mine was a sheet, that completely dissolved in water and was supposed to offer great stain removal performance. It didn't.

The problem with these products, is the cleaning agents, from my understanding are not very stable when dried onto a cloth or dissolvable sheet. You can't add anything like Enzymes, or Oxygen Bleach in the cloth.

There was one product (Purex Sheets) which came out in 2009. That product was made by Henkel/Dial Corporation and featured a "full strength fabric softener, and dryer sheet", in addition to the detergent on the sheet.

I had the chance to try it, and would say, it was very average. I think it preformed a little less than Purex Liquid did at cleaning. It didn't remove stains well, but it did leave things smelling very clean & soft.

This product would only be something, I'd consider if there was no possible way for me to bring powder or liquid detergent on a trip. In any other case, I don't see a real advantage. The Breezo product could be decent.

I either pack some powder detergent in a zip loc & take with or, if I'm going to Mexico, I don't pack any and buy a small bag of a Mexican detergent when I get there & bring the leftover back home with me.

@ci_lantro, I have to wonder how you resist temptation to bring back a suitcase of Detergent from Mexico. Especially, how much of a bargain they are, compared to the prices here.

I'd be grabbing up Ariel Polvo, ACE, Maestro Limpio. :)
