Kobe vs Hauslane vs Cavalier Range Hoods

last modified: 5 years ago

I'm renovating my kitchen and am looking for advise on a range hood. I have a GE free standing gas convection range. This is a 30" range with 67,500 BTU total. I have the opportunity to choose the best size hood for my range now before we finalize the cabinet design.

I'm trying to keep the cost to $500 or less, which is rather tough, and I'm looking for function/quality rather than aesthetics. I was able to find 3 possibilities that come in 30" and/or 36". Anyone have any insight into the pros/cons of these three?

  1. Hauslane Chef Series PS18 https://www.hauslane.com/collections/under-cabinet-range-hoods/products/ps18?variant=12409615450186
  2. Kobe Brilla https://www.koberangehoods.com/product/chx22-sqb-1/
  3. Cavalier 36" https://www.houzz.com/products/cavaliere-36-stainless-steel-under-cabinet-range-hood-prvw-vr~87886559

p.s. If you have any suggestions for other brands/models, I'm all ears
