Favorite Emmerich Daylily(ies)

I love Entwined in the Vine and I'm wanting to add some more Emmerich daylilies. What are your favorites?

I've tried a few Emmerichs and out of them, 2 have ended up being my favorites. I must tell you that I grow almost all of my daylilies in pots and those two (along with my other daylilies) have overwintered outside in a protected area over winter just fine for many years. Not this year however. That horrible February arctic express came through with minus zero temperatures for days on end and many of mine died, including the Emmerichs. In the ground they may have done better. I have re-ordered both of these for this year, and recommend them to others:

Wall of Fire is my favorite. handwriting on the Wall does well and is lovely. Little light of mine has been a glorious clump for years. Entwined in the Vine, which you have is a glorious one.

Other than Entwined in the Vine, my best performing Emmerichs are

Born to Reign clumps up fast and holds its color in the sun.

Little Light of Mine always puts on a good show and usually reblooms.

Sword of Justice doubled scaped last year and had a lot of blooms.

Skin of My Teeth is a fast multiplier, but it's often splotchy here where we have dew most mornings..

Royal Invitation is a shorter one, but multiplies fast and performs well. It sets seed well in the heat, if you're into hybridizing.

My very favorite one was new last year: Blood of the Martyrs.

I grow several others. Some do not hold their color well in my climate (Secret of Contentment and Heartbeat of Heaven) , and others multiply very slowly (Wall of Fire, Kingdom Without End and Forty Days and Forty Nights).

I think the ones I grow have already been mentioned. Enduring Freedom, Light of the World and Little Light of Mine both grow and bloom well here. Born to Reign did really well til it disappeared, I think due to chipmunks pushing it out of the ground. Heartbeat of Heaven had done well, if it fades here, I have not noticed, but it gets afternoon shade. I agree Forty Days and Forty Nights is really slow to multiply, but it blooms heavily. Filled to Overflowing is a good one. Final Destination has not done that well here. Soli deo Gloria was new last spring but bloomed well for first year.
