Toronto has an excellent suggestion about hiding your pipes and things. That sure is a fascinating looking set up BTW. Regarding your washer and dryer, I would not stack them just to hide the connections. If you buy FL, splurge for the pedestals. With the pedestals their height should be high enough to cover the dryer plug receptacle and the washer hook ups. Having them sit side by side gives you a place to pull things from the dryer and fold the items. It is a convenience you will miss if you stack the machines. The room does not look large enough to have a cabinet or folding table there, so at least having the tops of the appliances will be good enough.

If you added two rods that are hung from the ceiling and the curtains will hide the utilities and also not interfere with the door.

I think a stackable is your best solution and if enough room, add some shelves for storage.

I’d take advantage of the the other two walls. Measure out where and what, to help with laundry.

Something like this could also have shelves for storage instead.

I think I would call the contractor back and see if that gray tank and its hookup to the panel can be reversed to sit right of where it is. Doesn't look like anything would interfere with making that adjustment so you can open the dryer door.

I had a dryer where the door opened down, not swung open to the left or right. Maybe they still make them like that?

hi… we remodeled our laundry room and I opted for the stackable for more counter space and to avoid having pedestals… the problem for me is having to work on the appliance because of the weight and height… It is way more difficult to get the appliances unstacked to work on them.
