Third spring in garden. My toad lilies usually die back to the ground and I cut the dead to the ground. This year was a very very mild winter and they did not die back. I didn't think of it and did nothing. Now, they have small dark green spots on leaves and brown/rot? at the bases. Should I cut them back to ground and let regrow? Leave alone? Funny enough, I did not like these plants at first. Now I like them and they want to be unhealthy....
