IMO unless you move the current garage door around the corner from its present location, it will be too hard to get visitors to use the new front entrance since it is set so far back

Or another option might be to simply extend the roofline and have your entry be aligned with the current wall so the entrance if easier to locate.

You need to lead them to the front door. Use stairs, long and just a couple, stone or brick that stand out. Great landscaping. Color of door should stand out.

The first interior photo is like what I have in mind. We will be changing the color of the house at some point, but the sellers just had it painted those ghastly colors before going on the market, so that may be awhile. At this point, I feel like I want the trim to be a sage green if we don't paint the siding...although I do like the dark color. Unfortunately, we don't have the budget to do a full reconstruction of the garage...too many interior makeovers to do to take the house out of the 80s! Thanks so much for your help!

Floor plan first. Hand sketches are fine if you use a ruler and do it to scale. Some I see use IKEA's free kitchen software, I think HD and other big box websites you can lay out a room there too.

They were certainly not custom made! 🤣. I had old 1980s louver bifold doors and found a post on Pinterest that was my inspiration. I added plywood to the back to prevent the folding and then on the front, covered the louvers with thin plywood cut into shiplap and framing around the outside.
