I doubt it. Typically only recommended for indoor use, vinegar used as a pesticide is a topical control, not a repellent, meaning you have to actually cover the insect with spray for it to be effective and that can be accomplished just as well with a soap solution or insecticidal soap. Vinegar is typically used as an herbicide, meaning it is used to kill plants like weeds and will do that rapidly if applied in sun. But it has no way of determining your vegetables are desirable plants and not weeds so it can just as easily kill or damage them.

Even if it weren't harmful to plants. one would have to spray every single plant from head to toe to thwart grasshoppers--and then re-spray them after every rain! LOL

NOLO Bait is probably the best grasshopper control. However, you must be aware that it kills the grasshoppers by infecting them...so they will eat for some days before dying.

My understanding is that vinegar attracts grasshoppers. You use it as bait, rather than contact spray. You dilute it with water and place it in shallow containers where grasshoppers can get it. The flock to it and drown. Don't spray your plants with it. In fact, that would attract them to your plants, which is precisely what you DON'T want to do. But it's true that if you spray it, and manage to hit some grasshoppers with the spray, or if they happen to land on fresh spray, they will die.
