How to clean a wolf griddle

We bought a house that has a wolf range with a griddle. It looks like it has some rust and other stuff on it. Can anyone tell me how to clean it? I've tried steel wool, brilliant pads, scouring pad, etc. Really want to get it ready to go so I can cook on it!!!

That looks like some low smoke point oil got splattered and burned on. Sticky?

I would do a good bricking, heat it to 350°f, let it cool down to about 150 and then apply a LIGHT coat of oil and make sure to wipe off any excess.
