If that area does not get 5-6 hours of direct sunlight every day, then you may as well give up on bermuda for that location. Plant another ground cover or flowers.

What is your watering schedule for the area? How often and for how long do you water?

That area gets more than 5-6 hrs but we have a tree. As you may recall this area was infested

with clover and last year I went heavy on WBG.

This has been my watering schedule -

(With a oscillating sprinkler probably 5 mins/section of my front will fill up the tuna-cans) I have not really used the osc. sprinkler in April as we have had random cold freezes in NC but now in May I am going to start it) Temps have been in 70s, so plan is to once in 10 days to achieve deep-infrequent watering. Once it gets it to the 80's I will try to water it once/week.

Apr 6 - 1st watering (Watered using the hose 15-20 mins whole front)

April 19 - 2nd watering

April 24 - watered

May 3d - rained heavy

May 10 - today light rain

I may remove that tree in the front but not sure yet.

Did you mean 5 HOURS or 5 minutes per section? The highest flow in-ground sprinklers I've heard of can only do an inch in 20 minutes, and that's with considerable overlap.

As a point of reference, I have watered part of my back yard once this year. We got the heavy rain, too, so I don't expect to water again for at least 2 weeks.

Back to the original question. If you want it filled in fast, use sod. It's relatively inexpensive for TIF 419 bermuda. But first I would level the yard where the sod is going. It looks like the surface undulates quite a bit. It also looks like sand. If it is sand you can probably drag sand from the high spots to fill the low spots just using a rake.

Thank you dchall! Yes I mean't 5 minutes/section. So the whole front yard (600 sq ft) and other areas not in the picture, I might end up watering for 25-30 minutes. Alright will be doing this on my own.

1. Digging up the area,

2. add organic soil, sand to level followed by starter fert.

3. Install the sod.
