Theresa, the eyes were white fabric which I blanket stitched, then a smaller black fabric on top of that - also blanket stitched.

Now on to a caterpillar quilt ... am I nuts?

Sue, it's so cute! We have good friends who had several German exchange students. I believe they are all married now, too.

Donna, we have had 5 school-year boys from Germany, (2 are married) one from Hong Kong. We had 4 summer students from Germany and two from Argentina, one from Estonia, one from Spain and one from Italy. It's been since summer of 2017 and I miss it!

Hope you have good luck with shipping. I've sent baby quilts to our exchange students in France and Brasil. France wanted $100 customs on it's arrival for her to pick it up. I sent her a check! One of the most expensive baby quilts I've made. The first baby in Brasil the quilt went well and safely. The second baby's was sent in January this year and received in Brasil in April. Again, it was slow, but also held up in customs. He wouldn't tell me how much they charged.
