Incorrect shower P Trap, do I need to re-do?

Hello all,

As part of a shower renovation, I recently relocated my drain a foot or so across my basement slab. After finishing up, I realized that I used the wrong type of p-trap (One with threads and not one with a solvent weld. It took a significant amount of work to get the drain pipe perfectly centered, so I’m hoping I can find a way to make this p-trap work. Correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is that these threaded p traps are prone to leaks and should only be used in places with access to plumbing. Is it possible o further strengthen that joint by some means (I was thinking perhaps a fiberglass/resin wrap or epoxy?) or do I have no choice but to cut it out and start over? I greatly appreciate any insight!
