Pavers in northern NJ

My pool build is complete but our masonry contractor is waiting for standard concrete pavers that have been back ordered for over a month. I have checked with multiple suppliers who say the same. Any idea where and when I can get these materials?

Right now in northern NJ, and probably elsewhere, we are being told 2 months out on pavers availability. Beginning of July.

The coping and top bond is done, the patio underlayment for the pavers is in and compacted, the fence is going up next week. Would it be crazy to put down some outdoor rugs in the meantime and use the pool before the pavers arrive? I realize the pool will get dirty when the pavers eventually go in, but it's worth the extra cleaning to use the pool now the weather is hot.

Hell No!! I'd use the pool. It's hot. Get some cheap indoor/outdoor carpeting.

When the pavers are getting done, buy a large tarp and lay it on top of the pool and on to the coping, to limit debris getting in while the pavers are getting done.
