Recommendations for a single handle bathroom faucet.
Anyone have one that has held up well? We purchased the Cursiva single-handle faucet by Kohler at Home Depot--then discovered the plate to cover the existing holes is plastic! Too bad, because we really liked the look of the faucet. I can't imagine that a plastic plate is going to hold up well over time. (I just found reviews on the Kohler site all found fault with the aerator.)
I prefer a very simple design rather than the kind that look like an old-fashioned well hand pump.
Design question: Nearly every brand seems to have a very reliable center set version that I find boring. For instance, Peerless P131LF or Delta B501LF.
If we want to make our home more appealing to buyers, should we try to have something that makes a little bit more of a statement than that? Or is that a safer upgrade than something like my preferred style which would be like the Cursiva?

5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoThe first style is very modern, and is difficult for left handed people. Does that match the style of the bathroom and house? To me, the bottom option looks cheap. Something similar to this Delta option may be more universal. Delta is generally good quality for the price. Look at building supply stores or online rather than big box stores for better options.

I just thought of something: if we change to a faucet like the Delta above, do we need to change this on the big jacuzzi tub? It's right behind you as you stand at the sink. I hate that tub but don't know if we can afford to change it as it would entail a lot of other changes (floor, shower, walls). Don't know how you change a faucet like this--how you even get to it.

5 years agoI've had the Delta Addison, single hole, faucet and accompanying shower fixtures for several years and they are holding up well.
