Problem with flat bed sheet edges rolling up

I've recently bought Wamsutta Pima cotton dream zone 1000 count sheets. After a few washings my husband said they sheets are shrinking. We wash on warm and dry on low 1x/week. After looking at the sheets we noticed that the edges have rolled up onto itself making it look about 2 inches shorter on either side. I returned them to BB&B and washed the new set. When I took them out of wash I noticed the edges had already started to roll and got worse in the dryer. I refuse to iron my sheets. Any suggestions???

it sounds like your sheets might be too small? do they have the deep pockets for a thicker mattresses? also, is your mattress silky? sheets won't cling to it. if that's the case, try deeper sheets and/or a tight fitting mattress protector. you can kind of "unroll" the edges as you tuck them in.

sometimes new cotton seems extra prone to wrinkling. the fibers will relax after many washes. (I had some cotton napkins with this problem and they became less wrinkly after a year.) so give it some time. spiky rubber dryer balls like these might help speed up that process.

if you try buying a new brand, honestly I'd avoid Wamsutta. I had some a while back and several flaws began to show after only a few washes. prior to that, I had sheets from Target that were a million times better for 1/3 of the price (Dwell Studio, unfortunately no longer sold anywhere).

here's a recent thread with a ton of sheet recommendations: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/6113365/who-makes-the-softest-bed-sheets

I assumed the rolling edge problem is universal. And ironing doesn't help. I've tried. I even used spray starch.

I like Sheex. Never, ever thought I’d consider sheets that kinda feel like lightweight yoga pants (but cool to the touch). They are stretchy, super easy to put on, no wrinkles - and the sheets have lines to guide you. I do feel the top sheet is a bit slippery for the blanket, but the sheet is very generous in size (larger than other Fieldcrest, Target, etc) so it has plenty to tuck in. They offer 30 day trial/ money back. Just a thought.

FYI - I do. It work for Sheex. :-)

Arrrghh..l Do NOT work for Sheex. Dang autocorrect.

Etta Toth, I'm interested in Sheex! are they kind of shiny though? that's what stopped me from buying them.

They’re not shiny. Not at all like satin, if that’s what you picture. They are smooth and cool to the touch and let me contour to my TempurPedic mattress. They are so easy to put on. I love that they don’t wrinkle or bunch up while sleeping.

@User @NagyMama I saw Sheex on clearance at Bed Bath & Beyond yesterday and it’s valid online too.

Thanks Marie. I actually bought 2 bottom sheets only from Sheex for $49 each. Final sale, light pink only (which I already have). I do believe they run regular 25-30% off sales on their original regular stretchy sheets and these do have 30 day return policy. By the way - I also bought Purple sheets (didn’t like the mattress) about 2 years ago. They are similar but have not held up at all. The feel is totally different from washing, drying (on cool as directed). I’ve owned Sheex for well over a year now and they are in excellent condition. Sorry - I know I sound like a pushy salesman but I don’t sleep well and just try to figure out what will help me. These sheets do help.
