I'd paint the BRICK white, change trim to black. Change front door to black

Then concentrate on landscaping..........

Our house is a different style than yours, but we painted our cedar siding black, and I love it! This designer's house helped me make the plunge. I think black would update your house and make it more striking. i don't love how much contrast you currently have on the front (the white seems too bright?), and black would help tie in the red brick more. And leaving your door white would make it pop. Not sure how I feel about white trim around the windows, but you could always leave it white and then paint it black later if you changed your mind.

I think a dark grey sidiing would look lovely here, not black.

Feels too high contrast but doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I do think another color would look better than black.

Based on Glo's mockup, I'd say paint the brick too. It's a matter of finding the right shade of black or dark gray.

I would not paint the brick. Its very pretty brick. I would however, look at that brick, and try to pick a very dark gray (not black) from the brick, for the cedar siding. I agree, the landscaping needs some help. Those two bushes with the awful round tops need to go.

I really like these different shades of black. Thank you! We are rebuilding our deck. If we keep it red or change it back to a natural stain, it will look great against the darker color. Painting the brick is not an option with my husband.

We did BM Onyx because it has some red undertones and we have some red in the roof (which is actually getting swapped out to metal soon). But look how pretty these chartreuse ferns look against it! I know it can be polarizing but I like the look. Like Jan says, all white would be pretty too. I think landscaping/greenery is important to soften it.

This is the esthetic I am looking for. You have a beautiful home! I will be adding a mix of hostas, ferns, natural grasses, and bee pollinators to my landscape.

With so much of your roof showing, and the dark brick,, the black or dark colors are too much imo, especially at the back of the house. Have you considered a soft green instead? It would give you a change without looking so harsh and look great with a stained deck. I agree that you shouldn't paint the brick.

We have green houses in our small neighborhood, and don't want what other people have. There are also a lot of tan homes, and a few blue homes. No one has a black home.

Well my husband says it will be too hot in the summer, but our summers are short. It will be much better for our winters absorbing the sun's warmth. I really want a dramatic difference. I am tired of the white. I would be willing to go with a dark navy or grey. Our roof shingles have a lot of colors in it.

I know Sherwin Williams can change dark colors so they won't absorb so much heat. I LOVE the dark colors....I think it's the next "thing"

Dark navy would look awful with your brick and roof.

May charcoal would be better choice instead black

I like this SW Gauntlet Gray and Antique White. Just my own personal views, but I don’t think red, black, and bright white are the best combo. They’re all stark together, disjointed, don’t flow well.

Ok took some pics today, yard is a mess, but we used gauntlet grey on two houses.
