PTO problem solving

I have a 2018 Bad Boy 72inch cut with a 27 HP Kawasaki 850v and the other day I mowed about 10 minutes and shut off mower and couldn't get it to start so I checked several things and found the PTO switch was bad changed it and mowed the yard couple days later I tried to start mower and it would not start, so I changed the PTO switch again and it cranked but now the blades will not engage, I ordered another PTO switch to see if it helps, seems something is going on with the PTO system what can I check for, lost

Your BB may or may not list a diode in the PTO harness, but it could be there. If it isn't there, one can be added to protect the switch against the voltage spike.

What kind of diode do I need and is it wired in or soldered
