We're painting our new cabinets in SW Alabaster. The builder likes to paint the hinges, I assume because it's easier to install all the doors and then just spray everything. But... the paint is easily scratched off, and then looks pretty crappy.

All hinges are hidden, so you won't be seeing them when doors are closed, but it still bugs me to see the hinges with scratched or peeled paint.

Opinions as to whether to paint, or not?
