Can you put measurements on your plan? Include measurements for the doors and the window.

Can you move the range to the wall with the refrigerator and add cabinets on that wall?

Best if you tell folks your budget up front.

IMO there is no way to help without a to scale floor plan of the whole space with all windows doorways clearly marked that window that is low needs to say how low. All measurements clearly marked and use graph paper so it is easier for you to do and easier for us to use. Plumbing needs to be marked unless it can be moved and yes we need a budget.

You need to think outside the box. You can put counters across a window and one photo I found they put the sink across the window and had a cute area under the sink for a dog bed. I'll see if I can find the photo.

I agree that to help on this one you'd need to see the full floor plan for that floor to really solve the problem. For example, is the bedroom adjacent to the living room as well, are there any closets around where space could be taken to create a new doorway, could some of the kitchen extend into the living room, how big is that window etc.

Also, are you open to relocating a door or window, taking down a wall etc. or are you set on staying within this footprint and just want advice on layout within that? If so, definitely need the dimensions including where that window is on the wall.

I like houssaon's design. You could also put a longer cabinet along the wall to the bedroom door (where the range is now). Uppers and lowers there would give countertop and storage space. Or a pantry cabinet for more storage if you would gain enough countertop space on the other wall.
