It's probably happened to everyone who grows blueberries in deer country. They rate very highly on the list of desired menu options :-)

They have not bothered mine, they are too busy enjoying the roses.

Yep, got deer here too, along with their good friends squirrels & birds (and probably possums and skunks). My BBs are just now starting to turn blue (purplish) and I dug out my old bags of tricks to hang all over the bushes (rubber snakes, stuffed animals > dogs, cats, owl, a Tasmanian devil, Silvery CD disks, etc.). Also apply urine around the perimeter of the 3 bushes every few days. It seems to work on the deer better than the squirrels & birds. At the present time the birds, deer and squirrels are pretty busy with our plum trees, another good deterrent :-(

Put up a fence around them. Or they will never get off the ground. Ask me how I know. You can buy fencing at the hardware store. It's made of wire, get the strong kind and make it high and wide enough the deer can't knock it down or reach over it. Use wire fasteners or hooks to close the loop so you can open to tend to them.
