I have a Ryobi cordless one that works pretty well. The head also flips sideways for edging. It's not as powerful as a gas-powered one, single line versus dual line, but it works well for what I need to do.

I know the feeling and as much as I like my Yard Work and Old Equipment. it's becoming challenging with my old equipment and a lot is due to Dead Weight. I have Equipment I have challenged maintaining, "For Age Points". To learn "New Technology" has it's advantages and Our Older Bodies Need The Breaks!!!

I Am Forcing Myself To Use More Cordless Tools. My 1970's Chicago Air Impact (Like New) is saying "What About Me". I am saying "Until I find a job Too Hard For This Cordless Dream Tool, Just Rest". I was "1" when I purchased the Impact. LOL!

My Son just purchased a new Dewalt Cordless grass trimmer , awesome power , light weight with a very good run time .

I will look into them, I hope they have one 10 pounds or less.
