What an adorable house and porch. Would the bench (love it) fit across the end where the curtain is? That would provide some "visual" separation to the other house and give you room for a chair and small round table so you have a "conversation" area. The tall large pot needs to be on the right side and the smaller one where the big one is now. I agree with houssaon about the trim around your front door and sidelights. Paint door color. That will help a lot. In fact, I would prefer both pots the same size. You could use the big pot as a table and put a piece of glass or stone on it for a table top! Just get one more pot like the smaller turquoise pot. Very cute place! Love the ceiling haute blue too! All good!

I wish the bench would fit at the end, that was my initial thought too but it’s too long. I don’t mind relocating it to the backyard I am putting some thing else there I was thinking two Adirondack chairs but feel that might be too distant from each other to have a conversation

Adirondack chairs are too big too. Select smaller scale chairs. I would do a swing across end and pretty cushion in Sunbrella fabric and add one wood rocking chair. Here are some that are on sale. How wide is porch. Swing is 54” wide.

you could do any pattern or color (s). it's very simple. use regular porch paint and a stencil design

I like this colors on this one w/your home.

you'd paint the cement white to match your home, and then paint the stencil on top of it w/the teal colors. or, just paint out a rug if you like.

you could even just do a 'rug'

for the end, someone mentioned a trellis. all sorts of ways to do that. wood, paint, metal,

something like this you could have a potted plant that trails up the slats.

We added just plain lattice then our bannister and what a difference. It’s the west side really helped with glaring sunset

you could do the exterior runner too, but they get dirty and wet.

I just thought the idea of painting your porch would fit in w/the overall look. and it's not very big, so it shouldn't take too long to do the stencil. If I had a porch like that I'd be doing this for sure! all of mine are tiled.

Love the idea of a hanging chair at the end. It seems like you have a bunch of possibilities, but I wanted to share this porch photo I drooled over this weekend. The set up at the far end mirrors some of the suggestions already posted and I loved the rug and lights:

There are so many inexpensive really nice outdoor rugs I would choose that over stenciling. Not as easy as experienced Beth let’s on. Lol. No offense Beth. Cool idea, but rugs are a lot simpler! Just saying.

I think some kind of lattice would really help screen you from view without blocking the nice breeze. I think something unique like the first three that Beth H posted would be lovely.

The Giverny style bench isn't right for your little Craftsman style porch anyway, so to the back yard with that. I would use a pair of simple rockers painted white or to match the final choice on the door color. A simple ceramic garden stool could serve as a table.

Build a white fixed lattice wall instead of hanging something that blows with the wind.

From the ceiling, hang a porch swing with its back to the lattice -- careful to keep enough clearance so you're not bumping the lattice wall with your swing and/or make sure you add a horizontal board where the swing would hit if it is ever permitted to do so.

Suezbell. We’re building a privacy wall like this one in our neighborhood. We’ll paint it to match the trim of the porch so it’s in keeping with the other few in the neighborhood.
I love love the idea of a porch swing. Many neighbors have them!

Cor Cor, I envy you not having my overly “involved” HOA which threw a fit when I replaced an old fence with a horizontal board, lighter, fresher design. It’s 85 ft off the street and downslope from street (backyard). And I get to take it down now because one of them is a real prize.

Those chairs appear to be the low kind that will be more difficult to rise up out of if you have any knee issues. Also, having the bar at the back of your leg across the front of the chair can be extremely uncomfortable if the back of your leg is touching/resting on it. Do sit in them before making a final decision ... keep the paperwork until you try sitting in them in case you need to return them.

They’re more decorative we hardly ever sit out there but I did sit in similar ones love the feel of them.

If you create a solid wall, the absence of air flow from that direction could make the porch uncomfortable as a porch. If you do decide to start using it in the heat of summer, then you might want to consider adding a ceiling fan. Some even tilt and/or oscillate.

The bench is gone and our new chairs are here. They’re so comfortable and chic! I plan on getting two low drink/martini tables to put in between each set of chairs. The big coffee table there is just temporarily. The louvered, wall that will go at the end of the porch, to close it in a little bit, will be installed next week I’m hoping.

Hubby built (from scratch) and installed the privacy wall! Yay!
Now I need some help on the flooring. Would two 4 x 6 outdoor rugs be odd?
The table in the middle is only temporary it’s too big for the space so that’s going back in the house

Privacy wall is very, very nice. 4 X 6 rugs - is that about the size of space on each side of middle pillar / post? If yes, then no, I don’t think it would be odd but will be very symetrical. A good thing for me! Question -do you need shade to sit out on porch? I’m thinking about roll up kind of shades mounted on the porch side of the fascia trim.. Invisible from the street. There are easy ways to hold or tie down the shades if breezes are a problem.. We have a rollup shade on our west facing porch. Makes our porch so much more usable.

ETA Another thought - agree that table is too large. I’m thinking two small tables, one between each set of chairs…Goes well with having two rugs.

Yes each side is bigger than 4x6 so 4 x 6 rugs will fit nicely in each space. No need shades out there but clever thought.
2 drink tables came in I just have to paint them.

Here are some rugs I’m looking at. Think I might need to keep the rug less busy so that it doesn’t interfere with the busyness of the rope chairs.

What do you all think? I’ll order and post updates.

Looking great. Two rugs best actually. Love the end privacy panel. You could hang a few plants on it. Carefully of course! I would try putting one chair in front of privacy wall and put second chair to create L for easier conversation. Flip to the other two chairs and create more conversational space. Like this.

Good option. I’ll have to see if I have the room to put a chair on the end and still walk in there.
