Hey all, i have two straightneck squash that have been acting up. They were started indoors about 4 weeks before the last frost date, and were planted outside 3 weeks ago. However, about 2 weeks ago they started showing problems. About 2-3 leaves started wilting in the heat of day, the squash it produces are a dark yellow and stay an odd shape, the leaves have to get yellow specks on them, and finally the entire plant just looks different from my other squashes. Well my parents was watering them that first week because i was at school, and i believe they were overwatering them. Now, with daily rain the past week and a half, the issues obviously aint got better. I have checked for SVB, batcterial wilt, other diseases, and bugs, but their seems to be nothing wrong with the plants. I think its root rot but i aint sure. Here are pictures of the plant. I dont know whether to pull em or leave em.

Also, one question about the so-called ”healthy squash,” Is it normal to have white lines throughout the squash plant leaves?

Here you cant see the leaves wilting as bad because this was later in the day. The younger leaves are first to wilt, but as time goes on, older leaves begin to wilt.

The squash on left is from the ”problem“ squash and the squash on right is from a ”healthy“ squash. Both of these squashes began growing around the same time and were picked the same time. The one on the left is smaller, oddly shaped, and a dark yellow compared to the one on the right.
