Is it everywhere, or only on horizontal or vertical surfaces? Is there more near the floor? Has anyone done work in the house like carpet or floor cleaning, painting, wood floor refinishing?

My stainless steel prep table I bought on Amazon gets those reddish orange spots. It's not rust.

My neighbors stainless steel refrigerator does that, too. Not to the extent you are seeing. More like your last picture. I have no idea why or what it is. Cheap stainless steel reacting with ???

There are times I first comment on a thread, then a day later I get an email notification of someone else's comment on same thread. I look at theirs and it was posted many hours prior to my first comment, however for some reason theirs wasn't showing in the thread when I first visited. So then unknowingly my comment has reiterated others without me recognizing or supporting their statements. No big deal, I just leave my comment for posterity.
