Does Teak Oil go bad?

I have had this can of teak oil for years. I used it last year and don’t recall it being super thick, like syrup. The can has been stored with a small puka up top. The smell hasn’t been changed. Does teak oil go bad?

It doesn't "go bad" but it will thicken up......thin it down with some mineral spirits.

Yes, thin it and transfer whatever is left to a smaller container to eliminate air space. A half full container will start to gel up much faster than a full one because of the air inside.

According to this it is an oil-varnish blend. When oxygen is in a partially used can, it can start the oil (presumably linseed or tung) and the varnish to polymerize. That is non-reversible. Thinning may make it usable, but I'd test on some scrap first to make sure.
