Yep, a Speedwell. I’d say Veronica serpyllifolia but I can’t see much foliage.

Thanks, floral. I did look at V. serpyllifolia, but dismissed it as my goto book (Rose) says it is ± hairless, but to me, the images show they are hairy. Definition of hairy?????

How about V montana? But the leaves are entirely different from serpyllifolia.

Thanks floral. Yes I suspect V. montana, but as I said and you commented, in the mini-jungle of plant life, foliage was just not identifiable. Checking other photos I took that day, and hadn't got round to IDing, I did realise I had some of V. montana from a different part of the wood.
