Walking around our property that the previous owner had brush hogged last summer, so it’s interesting seeing what has survived and come up. In a lower wet area of standing water along the road there are a few clumps of these sedges. I was thinking bur or hop sedge? Located in western NY.

Do sedges transplant well? If I wanted to move them to the edge of a small shady slow shady creek, would they likely survive?
