Well Jon the other two are spectacular! Mine is a first year one is burning as it adjusts to my yard. So it is protected by an umbrella and my mighty protector cat, Jingle……lol

I have a similar situation with a trio of Sum and Substance. The consensus here, in my case, is the underperformer was planted too deep. I put the small guy in a pot for rehab, and my plan is to divide the largest in half (in fall or spring) to give me a more balanced trio. (The runt will go somewhere else.)

Design? I don't understand the meaning of the word. Obviously, the answer is dig up the little one and one of the others and get something new and different for those two spots.

Steve, nope, Moving the runt to some corner somewhere, splitting the first large one in half and ending up with a large one in the middle flanked by two smaller Brother Stephans on each side, It will take a while, but the ends will catch up.
