Thanks for your opinion acm! Perhaps you are right and I have wondered about that! :) However, in my last house, I had black granite countertops that were surprisingly forgiving, so I am wondering if the black sinks might pleasantly surprise me? Also, I plan to do a very dark soapstone counter and I think the black sinks might look handsome with it. Hoping I can find someone who has been brave enough to try this and hear yay/nay on the matter!

I don't have experience with this particular black sink but I do have experience with a black kitchen sink.

I would NEVER have a black sink again because every splash or water (even without soap) shows. It is just hard to keep looking clean - e.g. of course you wipe out toothpaste dropppings in a white sink but you don't have to clean it carefully because any slight residual doesn't show.

I currently have Black Galaxy granite in my kitchen and there is no comparison between maintaining it in terms of keeping it clean versus my old black kitchen sink. With a sink you are constantly having water pour into it which means it leaves a mark when dry and you are also putting stuff in it which has to be wiped down carefully or it looks not clean. With a dark counter you don't have these kinds of issues because it isn't used in the same way - you aren't constantly dripping water on it which has water spots for example.

I have vintage honed (matte) black slate counters in my butler’s kitchen and they do show every single waterspot and speck of dust. We don’t mind it, too much, but your mileage may vary in a bathroom context.

My sister has a black matte sink in her kitchen and it shows all water spots. I would not recommend it. Stick with a white or off white ceramic sink for your bathroom❣️

I installed a chocolate brown sink in a bath 45 years ago and I'd never have dark fixtures in a bath again. Don't do it!
