Why not extend countertop to pantries and use open space for a hamper or waste bin?

@Therese NYou mean extend the countertop to left towards pantry? That is not possible as washer and dryer will be in that empty space stacked. The design software does not have washer and dryer in it.

I see now. I wasn’t reading well enough. I’ve just spent 30 years will a poorly functional laundry room. I only had a fiberglass tub, but no storage. I could manage with a plain sink, but I am putting in pantries for storage as well. I think you’ll manage. Do you have plans for a clothes rack or drip dry space? Do you have any opportunities for folding table to add function?

This is like the one I have. Get one with a drainage ledge (not sure the correct term) and then I'd push it to one side other the other instead of centering.

This is the one I have. It’s similar, but without that ledge. It’s big and deep, but I will be replacing it with a cabinet and this new stainless sink. The dimensions are similar, but the rack adds some useful work space. The included faucet is nice too. I’d recommend this or something like it to maximize your space.
