Approximately 40k units x ~$2.5k each = $100M. Not bad for a product that has sporadically received mixed reviews here for dish cleaning quality, even if the actual reason for the issue seems to be obscure. Having jury-rigged my Miele Optima to keep operating, I am not yet in need of a Cove, but I wish them well in the hope that when I need them to escape the clutches of Miele they will be there.

I researched and researched and bought the Cove in 2020 pre-COVID ….. installation post May 2021. Due to COVID related and weather related circumstances our new Wolf/SubZero kitchen appliances were installed May 2021. On the very weekend before installation, the appliance store notified us we would not get our Cove dishwasher due to a recall (this one on the blog)….

On the initial installation, we were without a dishwasher. Long story short, we were contacted by our local dealer and were told only 5or 6 out of 40k plus had issues…. Offered to wait (at least several months) or get an in house repair which did not require anything above a simple repair….

We opted to get our dishwasher and do the in-house repair. Wolf overnighted the parts, the local service guy came out promptly, replaced the part, and that was it.

We loved the unit from the get go. We were cautious but did not unplug it. No issues at all and yes - this is a great dishwasher. The space and loadability is amazing. We did adjust the unit to include extended dry (we have some plastic and concave glasses) and it is amazing! Not sorry we purchased - customer service is above the mark. Very happy.

So, jumping into the subject of another Cove thread, @bdesignor, you do not see residual food specs on the washed dishes as some have complained about?

@kaseki, you might also want to escape the current traditional DW routine of open door down, pull out one rack to load, push back in , then repeat for second or even third rack, then bend down to pick up and close door and try the easy glide file cabinet logic of a two drawer Fisher & Paykel or if remodeling two single drawers just below counter top, I am 99 and 44/100 ths sure of never going back!

Kashmir, no residual food specs, dry as a whistle for plastics, shiny and clear wine glasses….very very happy! Love the space this dishwasher gives for loading. The third row cutlery tray is amazing! I would have to have a huge dinner party in order to reach the capacity this third tray has for cutlery…..the middle section fits moderately sized utensils but this comes with first tray baskets that hold long or bulky utensils.

Re: Cove: Glad it is working for you. Would you describe your water as soft, hard, or softened? (I'm trying to determine what causes some to have cleaning issues and others to not have them.)

We have the Cove (4 months since moving into our new build) and use harvested rain water. We have no cleaning issues.

Mark1993, how is the cove dishwasher holding up? Initial reviews on them were not positive.

@A C, we now have had the Cove for a year. No problems- it continues to perform very well. i would recommend.

We now have owned the Cove for close to a year. We have a whole house soft water system but did choose to upgrade to include the soft water option on the dishwasher (you add periodic salt as you would to your whole house system). We love the dishwasher! Loading the dishwasher is a dream - such flexibility. I love the cutlery tray - never a dirty utensil due mainly to the powerful third washer arm. Everything is dry including plastics ….however, you need to tweak your selection options to get better drying outcomes - choose “extra dry” (not extended dry though). Additionally, our installer advised us to put the dish detergent tablet on the upper silverware rack in order to get better cleaning results ie. eliminates cloudiness and any streaking on glasses - and he was right!

Ah! An interesting result relevant to the issue of clean dishes. Where are dishwasher tabs normally put, in a door compartment? Which tab brand are you successfully using.
