Well it’s an Anemone sure enough. But which one I cannot say. A virginiana would seem a possible candidate.

To show how much I do not pay attention,, I have never noticed the single flower before and i have lots of Thimbleweed growing on my property.

This photo was taken by the RR track and so I assumed it was different than my own,

From the Mn Wildflowers web site, this must be Anemone cylindrica due to the leaf structure.

I could have discovered this on my own if I just paid more attention.
