how is this vented?

We love the look of the modern electric fireplaces, but seems you have to mount them on the wall and see the sides and vent. I’d love to build one in like this, but then where is the heat vent?

    The heating function is disabled. I would have had to create vents on the top and sides if the client wanted to have heat.

    I have never seen an electric fireplace that was used with heat, people install them specifically when they want the look of flames without added heat.
