Catching up with a few pictures

It's been really busy around here. Bob and I started planting the seedlings. We got a little over 500 done and have maybe 2000 more to go. Here is a picture of how we do the seedling beds. We usually plant 2 rows with a two foot aisle in between but because we are running out of space, we are planting 3 rows with a two foot aisle. The yellow lines on the landscape fabric are a foot apart.

Carmen Sandiego is a small flowered introduction of ours. It's about 4 inches across. The plant is not small.

Flaming Flamingo is a bright color.

Happy Place is just beginning to show what it can do.

O Positive is a small flower on a decently tall scape for a small diploid.

The rest are seedlings. We really like this seedling. It is Lady Stephanie Victoria Redding X Rosy Spiketail. The flower is bigger than its pod parent's flower.

We have started working with small diploids. This is Little Donny Darko X Jean Clement. I like the shape and the chevron eye of this small flower.

We were excited to see this seedling bloom. It is Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine.

A few years ago we crossed Belle of Ashwood X Cactus Blossom and got one with a pale pink flower and a slightly darker pink eye and somewhat toothy edge. That one turned out not to be a great grower, but we crossed it to Tasmanian Tiger and got these sibs.

I was rather impressed with this seedling. It comes out of Bob's Fulva lines. It is (Fulva Korean X Transylvanian Tango) X Crimson Stories.

This is from our late breedling. It is Best for Last X Sonoran Desert Rose. It's tall with a great scape.

This is Bob walking along the edge of a select bed. These plants are about 5 years old and several of them have been selected to be introduced when we get enough of them.

I love the color on Carmen Sandiego-so rich!! Flaming Flamingo is indeed a bright color. The Pineapple Bites seedling is pretty and I really like the color on the Best for Last seedling. The number of seedlings you guys plant every year is amazing! And I can see several in the select bed I would be selecting!! :) What a job!!!

Wow, my knees would be aching for weeks planting that many seedlings. My hat off to you and Bob for tackling that big a job but the rewards are awesome. The select seedling bed looks wonderful. I always hated the idea of tossing a seedling.

I love Carmen Sandiego. I had to go and look it up and see that your daylily is registered for 2021. Love the cherry red color. Would make a wonderful addition.

The seedlings are wonderful with those toothy edges.

How do you maintain all that?? Wow! Carmen Sandiego and Flaming Flamingo are my favorite of these.

It's 96 out today and I can't imagine doing more then watering my pots and a few other chores. Kudos to you for cooler weather and stronger backs then mine............That Carmen Sandiego is a standout. As Brad says "wow" indeed............Maryl

My favorites are seedlings. Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine has a lot of impact with the bright contrasting colors of petals and edge. That one will be spectacular in a clump! I very much like both Tasmanian Tiger sibs, the second one a bit more because of the softer colors. You guys are getting so many exciting seedlings!

Hats off to you and Bob! That's a lot of work! I really like the photo of the garden with Bob in it. And Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine is my favorite! What a beauty!.
