IMO keep it simple go bunks and are these boys or girls. The reason I ask is that boys could go with just drawers under the bunks since their clothes rarely need hanging space As for a study desk that could then be where ever it makes sense keeping in mind kids in my experience rarely use a desk usually a lap top and sitting on their bed.

Totally depends on how you use the room. My girls shared for years and the room was just a room. Play space was elsewhere. So we had two twins separated by a small desk. In the closet we had the dresser and all their clothing.

Bunks are a good “idea.” But then, try making the upper bunk. Unless you use some sort of sleeping bag/bed roll on the upper, they are difficult to make up.

The windows constrain your ability to put two separate beds in there (are there closets too, or just walls?) -- I'd go bunks, and then you have the left wall for a dresser/wardrobe or desk.

You could do something like this?

A friend had a bunk bed and her girls divided up the yearbfor who getsvbotyom or top top.

Neither actually liked the top.

There isn't the room for a study table.

Agree the bunk bed on top is a pain when it’s time to change the linens. I like Westcoast’s idea the best if you can make it work. Especially if it’s two girls sharing a room.

Bunk beds. A 10+ year old can get up there and take off the fitted sheet and put it back on. I did it for years. It's really not as difficult as people are making it out to be.

Then you'd have your space for a couple of desks and a wardrobe.

Bunk beds will allow for the other items you need in the room. Look on Wayfair.com they have many options for bunk beds available...with storage, low to the floor, etc. Using twin beds or the arrangement that Westcoast suggested just doesn't allow for the other items you need in the room.

Plus, the bunk bed option allows you to keep the window view.

Actually everyone has different needs in a room. We don’t know if there is a closet and I suggest beds with drawers on the bottom for storage. Bunk beds may save space but many families, ours included would never get them. There are many options that work. All the ones that were stated as not acceptable above would work just fine for my family.

The layouts I showed were meant to show the space requirements required for twin beds verses using a bunk. Also, they show the remaining space available for the other items requested by the OP. While I suggested a bunk bed, none of the layouts were meant to be unacceptable.

That strikes me as a comment suggesting you think any of the twin bed configurations aren’t good

Two twin beds. And two folding breakfast/laptop trays so they can sit in bed and do homework.

Two twins with storage headboards and storage underneath. Think about where their school books and backpacks will go- in here or elsewhere in the house? They won't use a study table to study, just to pile stuff like books and toys on. A wardrobe would be needed only if they have clothes that absolutely must be hung up.

We divided the room into two zones: a play area and a sleep area. In the play area, we made a common area with items from the Goodevas brand so that children can play, we made a table that folds up to the wall. We have abandoned the standard study table, for this there is a living room. In addition, we removed the chairs, leaving only a soft chair that can be removed under one of the beds. On one wall, we made a blackboard on which you can write and draw with crayons.
