the hosta forum is .. or used to be. one of the most active forums here ... give it a try ...

we are very effective enablers.. before you know it.. you might have a hundred of them ... lol ..

the usual hosta issue with deep shade.. is lack of water due to the trees that create the shade ...so more info on that if you want to figure it out ...

ps: the pic is NOT heavy shade ... if that is where you are keeping the plant .. and its potted.. so tree roots arent an issue... if you are thinking of planting in ground ... its almost root growing time ...

Agree with Ken, you will get many more answers when posting in the Hosta forum……..others that have the plant will tune in and of course, as ken said we are great enablers!

In the Hosta Library, Hans Hanson/Walters garden indicates that it can take some sun. It also says the creamy border is so wavy, it comes with a dizziness warning……….. :-)
